Joeri Kalter, PhD

In Januari 2012, Joeri Kalter started working as a PhD student at the Epidemiology and Biostatistics Department of the EMGO+ Institute on the Predicting OptimaL cAncer Rehabilitation and Supportive care (POLARIS) study. Tailored to the mission of the Alpe d’HuZes foundation, this project aims to improve quality of life of cancer patients by optimizing cancer rehabilitation and supportive care using an individually tailored and evidence-based approach.

He obtained his bachelor degree in physiotherapy at the Saxion University of Applied Sciences in Enschede and his research master’s degree in Lifestyle and Chronic Disorders at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam. In addition, he conducted various research in the field of musculoskeletal disorders and rehabilitation in the Netherlands and Australia.

Joeri Kalter defended his PhD thesis on September 28th, 2018.
